Notes from Making Media

To founders

Most of the founders we meet already have something real. A product people pay for, a shop with regulars, a service that works. What they rarely have is a front door that matches it.

The site was a template from launch week. The product grew screen by screen, each one decided in a hurry. The brand is a logo and a colour someone picked on a Sunday. None of it is broken. All of it undersells the business.

Fixing that usually means a designer, a developer, a copywriter and someone to hold them together. Four handoffs, four calendars, and a project that takes a quarter.

How we work

Making Media is two people in Hong Kong: one on product, one on engineering. We design it, write it, build it and put it live ourselves. Nobody hands your project to anyone.

That's why launches on our ledger are measured in days. A cake studio went online in two. A business-plan firm in seven. The products we build for ourselves, like Omago and Relquix, run on the same loop.

We take on four projects a month and stop there. Not to seem exclusive: past four, two people stop going deep.

If any of this sounds like your company, tell us what you're building.
